A couple of additional instructions...

We got the news out about this protest blog out to the rest of the nation tonight. Here we are, as mentioned on the Mike Malloy Show . In the few short minutes after hearing about this, you have responded with additional suggestions.

The pictures should be sent to multiple locations. To this blog, as a matter of public record, to Diebold's Media Relations Department , and to your House Representative and Senators .

The facists of this nation have their noise machine. We have ours too, or at least we did have ours until they used their machines to take it away from us. Make no mistake, folks, we're going to have to fight and fight hard to reserve our voice, our noise machine.

Make it count.

An example of what you need to do...

Ok, well I'm giving you an example of what this is going to be like. Given the outcome, I think it might be better to use a Sharpie instead of a ballpoint pen.

Welcome to Dear Diebold

As it is painfully aware now that Diebold makes voting machines, you may or may not know that they also make ATM machines. Interestingly enough, many of Diebold's ATM machines give you the option to print a paper recipt.

Kinda makes you go hmmmm...right?

This blog is dedicated to show how you can show your displeasure with this disparity. You will need a pen, a digital camera, an ATM card, some tape and a Diebold ATM machine.

Go to your local Diebold ATM machine, make a transaction and get your paper recipt from the machine. Write a note to Diebold on the back of the recipt telling them about your concern that their voting machines do not have a paper trail. Tape this note to the ATM machine (preferably next to the Diebold logo on the machine), and take a picture. Once you have taken the picture, remove the note. After all, we're protestors, not vandals.

Send your pictures along with the name of the town or city in which the picture was taken to deardiebold@yahoo.com, and I'll post them to this blog.
